Father's Day
   Here's a simple way for the kids to help prepare Dad a Father's Day Feast.
Pretzel Crusted BBQ Chops
  • 4 center cut *pork chops
  • ½ cup of barbecue sauce
  • ¼ cup coarse grained mustard
  • 8 oz. thin pretzel sticks
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter

  •     *turkey cutlets work as well
        Preheat oven to 375°F.
        Place the pretzel sticks in a heavy duty zip bag and have the kids crush them with a rolling pin or mallet leaving irregular pieces about ½”–¾” in length.
        Mix together the barbecue sauce and mustard and brush on both sides of pork chops.
        Place crushed pretzel sticks in a dish or leave in the bag and dredge the coated pork chops in them, coating both sides.
        Lay the chops on a baking sheet and drizzle them on both sides with the melted butter.  Bake for 20-30 minutes depending on thickness.

    Kefir Fruit Smoothie
  • 16 oz. Kefir Milk 
  • 1½ cups fresh fruit or 8-10 frozen cubes of Fruit Puree 
  • 1-2 Tbs. honey or maple syrup 

  •     Place everything in a blender and puree until smooth.
        Serve in a tall chilled glass.  Yields:  2 14 oz. servings.
